Music at Llanstadwell
The 'Music at Llanstadwell' project has three main aims: to put on live quality music, to provide a platform for young local musicians and to develop live music that is accessible to all, across church and community.
'Music for a Summer Evening' is a series of 6 concerts that take place on summer Sunday evenings, once a month, at 6 o'clock. The concerts last between 45 minutes and an hour, with refreshments afterwards, served in the Vicarage garden, or in the church if the weather is inclement.
Other recitals and performances crop up along the way so keep checking the website for details.
We are very grateful to all our sponsors, without whom none of this would be possible, to our team of hard working helpers, and of course our thanks go to all those of you who come to enjoy all this wonderful music. We are especially grateful to those of you who support the venture by buying season tickets.
The website is updated regularly with all the latest news and information.
All the administration is done by volunteers and all the profits will be ploughed back into the musical life of the community.
'If you carry on like this you'll need a bigger church!'
'A very nice venue for a concert and a perfect piano.'
'We enjoyed the concert immensely, and very impressed with the work you're doing building up a music festival.'
'We all enjoyed it very much; the music and the friendly atmosphere. The level of performance was really a surprise. But what a surprise!
'This festival has developed into something very special. All of the performers I've been involved with have thoroughly enjoyed it and are keen to return." Mark Jones.
St Tudwal's is a living church with worship every Sunday at 8.30 and 11.15am.
